The word "solstice" comes from the Latin root sol, meaning sun, and stitium, meaning to stop or be still. During this time of the Solstice, the sun appears to pause, as it prepares to make a perceived directional shift, and heralds the transition into a new season. The Summer Solstice time of year allows us to celebrate the high point of light and sunshine, and brings us closer to the natural world.
Join us for an evening of wellness and movement, as we celebrate not only the start of summer, but also International Yoga Day- the theme of this year is Women's Empowerment. With the setting sun as our backdrop, we will move through a series of creative flow sequences, and we will close our practice with a meditation on nature. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with this magical time of transition and transformation!
